The main entrance to Acadia National Park is only 1½ miles up the road and the Island's free public transportation system stops right at our doorstep. From our property the town's many shops and restaurants are close by and easily found. When its time to relax though and enjoy some peace, quiet and good conversation, the noise and activity of downtown seems miles and miles away.
Under the same ownership for over 20 years, the staff and management of the Bar Harbor Motel enjoy the hospitality business. Almost all of us live right here in Bar Harbor year round. When you ask us about a particular restaurant, chances are we know the chef. When you inquire about a whale watch, chances are we know the captain. We enjoy answering your questions and can quickly point you in the right direction.
